Reconfiguring the Samba’s original design into a slick, more feminine context, the Samba Rose sees the shoe’s traditional material construction switched out for a softer leather, while its iconic suede T-toe panel is replaced with decorative zig-zag stitching. Other adjustments include variations on the shoe’s original heel tab, and a platform sole, while essential branding details on the lateral side and tongue make a welcome return.
This is then finished with the translucent gum sole that gives the Samba Rose its name, finished with an embossed trefoil logo on the midsole. Ultimately, the release culminates as a powerful evolution of one of Adidas’s most beloved silhouettes, complementing its historic design with a forward-thinking aesthetic that places the Samba within a whole new context.
